Parents, Friends, and SLC Baseball Supporters,

I’d like to start off by saying how excited I am to be here this season, and I also want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting our SLC baseball team!  This season is sure to be exciting and jam-packed with games, practices, and events, and I am looking forward to seeing how these boys grow both as individuals and as a team.

As many of you know, the SLC baseball program has a long history of success marked with multiple district titles and three state championships.  Additionally, this program has produced many talented athletes, including college and major league power players.  Because of this, I feel it is important to continue that legacy, and I hope to accomplish these things, and more, in the future.  We have a full Junior Varsity team in addition to our Varsity squad, and we plan to maintain and mold both into strong and consistent teams.  Overall, our goal is to develop good ball players and young men from start to finish.

As a whole, I am thrilled to be a part of this program and I am confident that we will bring continued success in years to come.  I understand how difficult it can be for so many changes to occur so quickly, but I believe that change can be a good thing and will eventually lead to greatness if we continue to support each other in our efforts.  I know that none of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of family, friends, and the community, and I truly appreciate everyone that has been, and will be, involved in the future of SLC baseball.

                                                                                                                                                Sincerely,

                                                                                                                            Coach John Michael Collins
